Q.#1

Do you think wealth and possessions make a person important? If not, what does?

-Most of people considers wealth is important in their life. From the money, they can pursue their physical needs but also sometimes, they can get an emotional satisfaction. However, it's not mean every-time.

Even though wealth is important in the life, but it is not enough for living. Above all, getting an emotional satisfaction is much more important. Sometimes, we have heard the news that some of the rich feels unhappy in their life or even killed themselves. What makes them do such behavior? Mabye, they does not content with their life in the way of an emotional satisfaction.

All people feel the feelings. The rich also feel all kind of feelings such as a lonely and frustration. How they overcome and stay their feelings stable are most needed to get an emotional satisfaction. Money might make more comfortable life. however, peolpe never can live only with physical satisfaction. Therefore, people have to pursue both phycial and emotional satisfaction for their affluent life

  1. I agree.
We need money to live better, but wealth is definitely not the most important thing in our life.
Most rich people have everything they want but happiness.
    Good job!

  3. I cannot agree with you more Boram. There is a saying in chinese that "money is nothing but property". That makes a lot of sense to me because when everything comes to an end, you can't bring the money with you into the dirt. To me, health and love is way more important than wealth since there is nothing that can replace them.

  4. Boram... I'm sorry that I don't really agree with you. If the rich people offer their money for doing charitable or some organizes, they will be wel known and have the good lives with a lot of love from everyone. Unless, they will be like what you say.
I have a sentence, that is:

When you are young, you sell your health to get more money. However, when you are old, you give away your money for hoping to instead of a little bit of your health.

  5. I really like your last sentence. "Therefore, people have to pursue both phycial and emotional satisfaction for their affluent life." This suggests that people cannot have an affluent life unless they have emotional satisfaction. In America we have a saying that I may not have a lot of money, but I am rich in the things that matter.
